  Case Study of Regulation of Herbal Medicine in Indonesia

  According to the covering area of herbal medicine, there are three aspects to be observed and regulated: the exploration of natural resources, the process of production and safety and efficacy of herbal medicinal products. The focus problems are endangered plants, implementation of good manufacturing practices in obtaining qualified products, and study on formula in order to guarantee safety and efficacy of herbal medicinal products.

   

  Please discuss the following questions with your group member:

  1. What is your opinion on the use of Cannabis in traditional medicine formula?

  2. Is it dangerous to take an expired herbal medicinal product from the marked? Explain your answer

  3. An online promotion of a sliming tea product mentions that after seven days consumption of three times a day, you can decrease 20 kg of your body weight. If this is  true, please give your opinion what is the active component of the product?

  
  

  Please have the discussion results submitted as a doc or pdf file here by 3 PM today (July 15, 2021). Please also indicate the names of members who participate in the discussion, in the file. This is a group assignment, however, the submission is individual. Thus, you will be submitting the same file individually.

  This is a final project. However, the submission is individual (refer to the instruction of file submission name), so make sure you submit the assignment yourself.  

  Please do mind with the submission deadline. 
  

  Do your peer evaluation between 19:00 (Jakarta/Bangkok Time) on Thursday (July 15, 2021) to 06:00 AM (Jakarta/ Bangkok Time on Friday (July 16, 2021).
  

  The system will automatically document your activity and record your grade as part of the course accomplishment (30% out of 100%).
  
  You will also be invited to fill a form about the team-work within your group. The form will be given via email with a subject: TEAMMATES: Feedback session now open [Course: OSC-Pharm-2021]. You can fill the form between 15 pm on THURSDAY (July 15, 2021) to 9 am on FRIDAY (July 16, 2021). This is also part of the grading, so be sure to help your team finishing the project.

  The best video from each big group (Big group 1= Group 1-10; Big group 2= Group 11-20; etc) will be played on FRIDAY (July 16, 2021) in front of panelists who will ask some questions. The best video (chosen by the panelists) will receive interesting prizes. So, do your best and make sure you join us tomorrow!
